Can I get some feedback on Marushin?
I wouldn't necessarily trust their M1 Garands or Carbines, but please, prove me wrong!
I would like to know your opinions on them and also your thoughts on the durability and performance of their guns.

I would like to prove you wrong I really would, I have a marushin m1 garand I haven't even fired it with hfc134a yet and it gives me lots of problems, everything is externally loose and the clip doesn't eject all the time they're nice looking guns but if you just want looks you can get de-milled rifle for half the huge price that marushin demands. However everything marushin made, Ares will make too, it's just a matter of waiting...

uh...I emailed ARES and they told me two things:
December 2011 is optimistic for a release date
The M1 Garand and Carbine are both springers

Yes, I've been looking for information of the new marushin's ... either the garands or the carbines, but have found nothing yet. I've heard the older Garand is a POS, but havent heard anything new on the 6mm version. I've also heard that if you use green gas they will fall apart and break as they are not meant for that strong of propellant. As for the ARES ... the Garand has been confirmed to be a GBB. The ICS is confirmed an AEG ... I'll believe it when I seen it.

ARES said spring to me, and it seems to go with their record. Look at their WA2000. Everyone was SURE it was going to be a GBB sniper rifle- and then it turned out to be a spring weapon.

So, nobody has a review on the new 2011 Marushin's ... other than the marketing stuff?
Oh well, I might have to buy one just to do a good review.
PS - I was told thru the ARES US Distributor that the Garand will be GBB ... however, the release date hasn't even been considered.

I recently got the Marushin M1 Carbine 6MM from Redwolf as a walk-in customer. It's really accurate, and runs on a strange system. You have to cock it everytime, but when you pull the trigger, it's gas blow back.

Do you use Green Gas or HFC 134(a) gas? When you say "... cock it everytime ..." do you mean: Cock It Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel Cock it Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel etc or do you mean: Cock it Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel .... empty mag bolt stays open change mags Cock it Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel Pull the trigger BB comes out the end of the barrel etc Because, that ^ is the way it i suppose to work

It's kind of hard to explain.... You have to put the mag in, cock the bolt, and pull the trigger. the BB comes out, but as it comes out, it is blow back. Then you have to cock again, pull the trigger, BB comes out, and is blow back...

Oh, and BTW, I use Green Gas (top gas) and it runs perfectly. There is hardly any wobble, and it is real wood stock.

No, he has a different version, he has the single shot version, and in that video it is the GBB version I guess I'm really confused The current Marushin M-1 Carbine is a GBB and is the one in the video above. Is the one you are describing the version from several years ago? That one was a single shot and it was in 8mm. See this video:

No wonder I was confused!
I hear the m1 cocking is the most durable and the GBB are very fragile... Is that what you hear too? I'm thinking about getting a carbine and I'm trying gather info to make a good decision ... I don't want a $400 pos, I want something I can use.

I owned the 8mm singleshot NBB version it was a very very nice rifle. Solid but finding mags was a biotch mine came with 3 so i was golden but the mags are sought after so if you get a used one make sure it comes with a few mags.

But then again, the realism goes down on it. And hopefully the new carbines are better built. Ohh and also, you don't have to spend 400 or more on the GBB version hobbyeshop has it for like 367
