Earlier in the week, while zeroing and setting the hop's for the fort McCoy game, Cairo accidently shot himself in the hand! Now, at a dinner party, after the wound is all healed up, cairo noticed a smooth, spherical lump near the "hole" and realized "there's a BB in my hand holy catfish!". The BB is a BB bastard .25 biodegradable round. It's been like 2 weeks.

I had a similar situation when I got shot at an Op at fort drum. Problem was it was in my face... Had to go for plastic surgery to get it out

wonder what the health implications are if it's biodegradable, if it perhaps toxic?

My friend was over another friends house (whose a jerk). He walked up in his driveway, and immediatly the idoit shot him in the back of the head. He put the gun up to his head like it was touching! And worst of all right in the bone That must have hurt like hell. So how are you going to get the bb out of your hand =/ Or will it bio degrade inside of you... that takes like a year

Any updates as of yet? Have you gotten it out? I suggest getting it out immediately because even if the bb doesn't bio-degrade on it's own causing infection, the fact that a foreign and likely dirty object has lodged itself under the skin you WILL get infected. The body will recognize it as not part of the body and seek to expel it which means an infection, puss, and etc.
Go get it taken out by a doctor.
MUZZLE CONTROL FOLKS! THESE GUNS, WHILE NOT LETHAL, ARE STILL DANGEROUS! DON'T POINT IT AT ANYTHING OTHER THAN THE INTENDED TARGET!
I hope you take better care to keep your hands and anything else away from the muzzle!
Also, FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT!

(private joke) I have a bb (probably copper) in my face near the fleshy part under the cheek from getting shot years ago at an event. It was cold and I never knew it was there and one day the dentist asks if I wore mouth jewelery and the x-ray got me to feeling for it and sure enough its in there. I view it as a copper medicinal implant. But bio-bb's I think would be better off removed. If you hurry and get it out you'll still be able to use it as ammo before it loses its shape.

I knew a guy who had one embedded in the front of his forehead. He did not get it removed, thought it was cool to have a big bump on his head that he could roll around with his finger! But bio-bb's I think would be better off removed. If you hurry and get it out you'll still be able to use it as ammo before it loses its shape. I had a bb in my leg once, it was a Gas R700, friend was standing next to me and he accidentally fired. Know this had a fresh gas charge, FPS is ~600 with a .20 give or take some for the first 1~3 shots. When it hit, I felt almost nothing, that was when I was worried, that should have hurt....and the bb was about 2mm in my leg. I squeezed the base of it and it popped out, no problems later, just a band-aid and some ice!

Any projectile fired into another person that has to be removed by a doctor must be reported to the police as a "shooting" for potential investigation and possible criminal report. I hit a kid in the ear and it apparently went in the ear canal. Weeks maybe months later he had it removed. it was green so the doctor wrote it down as a pea. Incidentally that is how I know it was one of mine as I was the only one shooting green BBs at the event. Last year I lost hearing in one ear and had ear wax removed by the doctor who flushed out a hard white chunk of.....you guessed it a BB. Amazing! What are the odds Of two ear shots like that? Fortunately in neither case did the doctor realize it was a BB. My wife would have had a Cow as would this kids mother if she knew.
Guess when enough BBs are flying strange things happen. I had a cyst removed from my right eye lid (six stitches) and it was shaped like a BB and about the right size. My wife kept insisting it was a BB but it turned out to be a calcium tumor (benign thankfully). I would think leaving a plastic BB inside your skin would not be a good thing. A BIO BB I suspect would be even more problematic.
Whatever happened to the BB Cairo since this has been some time since the incident?
