Sorry that last post had a bit of a negative tone i didnt intend Awesome pics to be honest and really high standard of UK kit from the looks of things, the comment about blanco was really because its increasingly hard to find round KG3 in the UK, wondering if you guys had a solution?

No worries gadge, your I didn't take your comment negatively at all . A few of the guys use blanco but most of them don't. I think that this is mainly because, like you said, its hard to find. I have hard that there is some kind shoe polish. I read about it on a WW2 Reenactors board. The guy from What Price Glory suggested it. I haven't seen any pics as of yet, but I have heard some good things about it. I might get some and test it out when my webbing gets in. here is the link to the shoe polish: www.shoeshinekit.com/tashpo.htmlShade 48 for the light green khaki Shade 34 for the dark khaki Click

What is the OD uniform in the beach shot? Is that a summer weight of the wools?

That will be 'denims', a lightweight version of battledress in a fabric (suprisingly) like denim. Was issued in OG or Khaki, supposed to be worn as an additional layer in winter or as work fatigues so as not to stain battledress in serge. In reality worn in combat occasionally in the summer months and the med. Cheers for the polish link click, BTW we looked at the repro blanco SOF have started doing, its ok but comes out a sort of peppermint green and its not really the right shade so i'd avoid it.

In the first pic I have my hand in my pocket in the right of the pic. In the drilling pic I have my head turned away from the camera. In the Half track pic, I am the guy second from the right biting his lip, you cant see me marching in the next photo, I am in the back. And in the landing photo I am the guy with the commando comforter cap. I am not in the last one.
