In answer to some queries i've had in PMs and for a bit of reference for othe in future here is a pic and explanation of where the dozens of insignia on British BD is supposed to go..... RIGHT ARM: (from shoulder to wrist). Regimental or Corp shoulder title Divisional Patch Arm of Service strip Rank (the crossed rifles above the Sgts chevrons denote a rifle/small arms instructor, if these were lower and on the left sleeve it would denote a sniper) Glider qualification patch, this is also where a Sgt Majors rank goes. LEFT ARM: As per right with the left wrist being the site for either/and a trade qualifiction (signals, light machine gunner etc) and in this case a wound stripe. Lastly a company coloured lanyard is worn on the left shoulder.
