Well, it's not like I'm going to defend all modern "UCP", because not all of it is even worth talking about.
And as far as DPM being the best? No way.. Maybe in your opinion? Sure, it is very good, but the best? Not quite.
There is a MASSIVE science around camouflage, and the way it's used in modern combat. Digital camo has advantages that are leaps and bounds above old school styles like woodland BDUs, or DCUs. If you think I am wrong in this, then you need to do some more reading.
If you want to see some really good camouflage, you should check out what italy has to offer their army, and naval special forces. Outstanding.

Motivo Mimetico is good and it is not a digi camo . I have been collecting camo for well over 25 years and i read a lot of info to keep up with developments in modern camo , this whole digi camo stuff you can blame on the Soviets , they had one of the earliest versions of digi camo , kinda

Except that it was concepted years before computers if you're referring to the 'stairstep/sunrays' patterns Superficially looks digital but all coincidence (but you already know this Mr Adler!). DPM being a world leader until the late 90s/early 2000s is neither Adler or my own 'opinion', it's a fact. We're reffering to NATO trials held every year in which DPM consistantly out performed all other nations schemes until the Canadians brought out cadpat. I think I might have read enough about camo btw seeing as i'm a defence jounalist by trade and used to be the assistant editor on 'Raider' magazine until a few months ago (as well as a staff writer on Airsoft International). I aso used to instruct on camouflage and concealment for the British Army - so I think I might know what I'm talking about ...

While not 'digital' the NATO 'berlin brigade' schemes used for BAOR were quite similar in being made of hard edged blocks and relying on confusing the eye rather than replicating nature. A berlin brigade Chieftan MBT and in context

I can no longer continue this argument, if it's only going to be a cock measuring contest. I could give two applesauce s who's does what for who. I don't care. The fact that you think throwing a "title" around is a bit hilarious. I've respected all opinionated, and intelligent conversation throughout this thread until now, but it's too much to handle. I am currently IN the military, and I can't even stomach any more of this conversation.
Please continue to swing your e-dick around in attempt to woo the crowd. It does nothing for me.

And if you're in 'the military' you'd have thought you'd have some respect for those of us who have served before you and *might* know a bit.
Because, if we're truthful, you've not said anything so far that demonstrates any understanding of the concepts of cam and concealment... i hope you're not infantry.

I'm being respectful by keeping my mouth shut beyond this point.
This conversation is pointless, is getting you no where, and proving nothing. It is an argument developed through miscommunication, and childish disagreement. By simply keeping this subject going, you are just proving yourself more and more ignorant.
I have nothing else to prove to you, and I feel sorry for this thread being crapped on so massively.
Also, respect is earned, not given freely. Military or not. You should learn that.

Alder,
I understand, but I'm not going to sit back and listen to title tossing banter. There are plenty of other places to find such unintelligent conversation.

One heck of a yard sale two pics up. It's a display of weapons and uniforms used by government forces against the rebels.

My first impression was that that mannequin on the far right was wearing an Afrika Korps uniform.

I want one of those DP's, or two, so I can convert one to Airsoft.
It's also Amazing how good of shape most of these weapons are.

If I could get Two, then I'd convert one. Or use it to make molds and cast plastic parts. Now excuse me, it's time to apply for a Journalism tour, then sneak off with(Or buy) a DP and send it back piece by piece...
