I know this may be a bit late, but some of you may know the Harry Morgan passed away this December 7th at the age of 96. He gave a lot of smiles to many people while on M*A*S*H, as Colonel Potter, and other shows.
He will be missed.

Wow! 96 that is amazing I'm old enough that I remember him from Dragnet. His was a great character. So believable and such an aset once the original Camp commander left. In so many ways he was a far better cast member.

MASH is one of my favorite series I got all 11 seasons on dvd and watch the series once a year. I'm one of those that actualy like the later seasons better then the first ones, the first ones are to cheap and easy, Characters to shallow, once Charles(my favoirte character from the series) and Potter comes in, the series became much better.
I did see the news on IMDB that he had died, and I'm kinda going to miss him, it's funny, he was an elder gentleman when ser series was around, ready for retirement ect, yet he lived 30 more years.
It's kinda the same with Ernest Borgnine in 69 he played an "ageing outlaw" the whole movie is about the outlaws beeing to old to be outlaws and dieing of old age like the old west was doing at the same time as them, Yet Borgnine is alive to this day, 40 yeas after he was "a old outlaw"

If you have ever watched Orchestra Wives, the Glenn Miller movie ,you would have also seen Harry Morgan playing in the saxophone section. He was a member of the Glenn Miller band and I saw him in an interview talk about his experiences as a member of the band, Jackie Gleason is in the film as a bass player but I don't know if he was a regular member of the band. I stand in awe of Harry Morgan. I am retired, but he never retired. When he died, the world lost an amazing man.
