I think that is a good call as that ad looks a bit dubious. I think it always best to wait until an item is out and in others hands and reports are out from actual owners. Good bad or indifferent it's nice to let others be the ginnie pigs and frankly the first iterations often experience refinements later. This one if true is certainly cheap enough $128.00 is great! Gas guns in bolt action set ups tend to work pretty well.

Still looks like a great deal although at this point it is still a pre-order and who knows how good it will be. I'll wait and see some initial reports.

on the otehr hand, the otehr is a 91/30, which some of us would prefer.

I would prefer a 91/30 over a M44 myself. But that is a tease of a price.

Yeah, zeta labs is accuracy fire. Appearently the M91/30 and Kar98 use VSR-10 hopup and barrel. But they use the Tanaka and GnG type clips. They said smaple photo instead of sample photo

That Hong Kong freight is a killer. $98.00 to $157.00 to ship to the US. I will wait until it can be shipped in the US.

You realize of course that if from a US seller the price will be higher to reflect the shipping they have to pay and then you will in turn have to pay to have it shipped from them? There are no shortcuts to COSTS.

If a wholesaler purchases a quantity of these K98's the per unit cost of shipping will drop dramatically.

You realize of course that if from a US seller the price will be higher to reflect the shipping they have to pay and then you will in turn have to pay to have it shipped from them? There are no shortcuts to COSTS. But there will be more peace of mind with the shipping method. Not to mention sending it back for whatever reason will be a whole lot easier and cheaper than sending it back to whatever Asian country it came from. I recently tried sending my ARES PPSH-41 to China (back to ARES, they requested it so they can fix it) and UPS wanted $289.00!!!! Unbelievable!
