ATTENTION ALL INFANTRY (temporary unit for 12/7-9 Bulge Event)
Now recruiting for a temporary unit for the December 7-9th Bulge Event
Looking for troops with complete or partially complete impressions that are planning on attending the December 7-9th Battle of The Bulge Event hosted by the 3rd FJ. This is a temporary (but if it works well possibly a permanent) unit designed to unite all of those with regular infantry impressions but without a unit. There’s already LOTS of spare equipment, weapons (mostly crew-served), clothing, and maybe a complete impression or two. Cpl. Rodge (Cary) and I have enough equipment between us to supply quite a few guys. Here’s a list of rental equipment for those of you who are lacking that special something.
Provided by myself:
1x M1941 Jacket w/26th Div Insignia
1x M1943 Jacket w/26th Div Insignia
1x “Tanker” Jacket w/26th Div insignia
1x Wool trousers, 42in Waist (abt a sz. 34)
1x Jump Boots, Size 13 (acceptable with leggings)
1x M1-C Jump helmet (acceptable if A-yokes are tucked in, no leather chin cup or F/A pouch)
1xComplete Medic Equipment set: 2 Medic bags, yoke, brassard, and Helmet w/Medic insignia
1x M1919 .30 Cal. (2 man crew served weapon)
1x wool shirt
Various web gear, misc items.
Provided by Cpl. Rodge:
1x Leggings (can be used to cover jump boots)
4 m1 Helmets w/white sheet covers
2x m1a1 Bazooka (currently under work, 1-2 man crew)
1-2 60mm Mortars (currently under work, 2 man crew)
1x wool shirt
Various web gear, misc items.
This is A LOT of stuff for two guys to bring to an event. So if you’re somebody planning on attending but are missing something and need a unit, or somebody who’s looking for a unit, then feel free to sign up. The real reason we’re doing this is to get more guys into ww2airsoft and onto the field, as well as put what we have to good use. As much as we’d like too, we can’t just do this completely out of the good of our hearts, most items will have a small, reasonable rental fee (somebody else bought it, and you are the one using it) mostly to cover getting the stuff down and back, and all of the items have a “you break it, you buy it” policy so we don’t lose our money due to somebody else’s mistake. Another reason for making a temporary unit is because that way it will be much, much easier to keep track of everything, and an entire unit in the field will likely work better than many individuals on their own. A specific unit is yet to be determined, but it will likely be 26th Infantry Division or 60th TD. Hopefully if all goes well in the coming weeks and we get enough members for the event, we’ll be able to bring everything. A unit patch will be mandatory once a unit is determined. I WANT YOU soldier, so sign up today.
Please PM me if you plan on signing up or have any questions. Please include your first name, age what you NEED (not want), or if you don’t need anything at all, as well as any other information you think I should know. This will have a less structured chain of command than usual, but we would like to keep things realistic and have enough control to make sure things don’t fall apart.
