Anyone watch Top Gear? I mean the UK version with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May.
If so, what's your favorite challenge/episode? Favorite presenter? Favorite reviewed car?
For me it's the Vietnam Special or India Special. James May is just awesome because of the fact he is an all around good chap, and he has awesome long hair. My favorite car that's been reviewed is the Porsche 911 Carrera.
By the way, if you watch the US version, please stop. Watch the UK version, it's so much better.

Been watching the UK version for years now.
I like the one when Jeremy does the road test in the sensible ford Fiesta.

Such a popular show in the UK, even people like myself who just see cars as a way of getting from 'a to b' enjoy it.
Trivia time, Clarksons father in law won a medal at Arnhem, the Victoria Cross no less!
I personally liked the one where they tried to avoid being taken out by a Main Battle Tank while in a rangerover...

I am currently on an extended road trip through the US introducing BMWs new F30 3 series sedan. (I am an automotive trainer by profession). I love TOP GEAR (British version) and it seems so do 30% of the BMW client base. Richard recently reviewed the F30 and the report was so glowing that I often quote him on it. What I love about the show is they have no auutomotive advertisers so they can be quite candid and irreverend. When they compliment a vehicle you know it is sincere. He said of the new 3 series. "Im an automotive critique, its my job to find things wrong with a car and I simply cant find anything wrong with this car...". He goes on to declare it the finest automobile ever built, Im not sure that I would go that far but it is a truly exceptional car and I am enjoying the heck out of driving it across the Western US.

The new N20 four cylinder produces 55 more foot pounds of torque at half the RPMs and 10 more horse power. It is a second and a half quicker 0 to 60 than the six cylinder n55 engine and I got 38.4 miles to the gallon on a recent 720 mile drive between cities. The best I ever got with the straight six was 31 MPG. Hmmmmmm. I dont think they would listen to my pleading nor do I intend to share it even if I believe in it. I do miss the superb smoothness of the six and the wonderful exhaust note but thats why they still build the 335 version.

My two favorite were the 4x4 one across South America and the Vietnam motorcycle one. Both were funny as hell. The brakes not working in the Land Cruiser made me laugh extra hard becuase anyone who owns an FJ40 with drum brakes knows exactly how true that was. The fact they killed the real "best" truck at the end of that for entertainment kinda made me sad, but otherwise it was super awesome.
