Yeah, that sound would probably kill a sneaky position, but its another thing to be proud of owning (its a shoei xD)

If it is like other drum mags, you can wind it in advance then keep winding it when you fire. I only hope it can feed reliably and quickly enough to keep up with the weapon.

It shouldn't be very hard to modify the magazine to a more traditional high-cap system that doesn't give away your position.

The real question is not the auto winder but what gearbox they are using? The auto winder can be made lots quieter. I'd like to know about the gearbox.

^Likewise Ersat. Right now it's still a prototype, rumored to be for a special customer that ordered it (or a few?)
If you are interested in such a lollipops y, perhaps email Shoei and let them know you'd like them to produce this product on a more bigger scale. Help encourage them along the way. One fellow did and got a response for a price already.

Sounds like whoever made the order had to drop some "major coin". Special orders are usually expensive.
But if you ordered them en masse...

Why is everyone hung up on the winding noise? Auto winders are typically wound in advance and while shooting. Unless you do not think shooting will give away your position? It is hard to keep up with an MG using a manual winder. Of bigger concern is the gearbox (as has been mentioned) and if the mag can keep up with the gun. In the video it looked like the weapon might not have been throwing a BB every cycle, and the mag did not seem to be spitting them out very quickly. That could be chalked up to the mag not being fully wound though. My M249 box behaves similarly.
