I put in a M120 spring (~400 FPS) and checked my compression umpteen times, and STILL my FPS seems to be below 300, any solutions? My hop-up is on normal (I know if you press it down to far it will almost stop the BB), I'm using .20 bb's, but I don't have the faintest clue as to why I'm having these issues, new high torque motor, well shimmed, new bearings, 7.2v lipo, any suggestions?

Replace the stock cylinder with a ported cylinder.

Replace the stock cylinder with a ported cylinder. I'll give that a shot, is there any particular version I need to get or are the one size fits all?

The AGM MP40 uses a modified V3, so any part you want to put into it should be a V3.

You need a type 2 (mp5) ported cylinder. Or a type 1 (m4) if you're fitting a sorbo pad to protect the gearbox (which i highly recommend). When you check compression do you check it with the barrel and hop as well? Low fps usually means a leak in the nozzle-hop-barrel system.

I've heard of sorbo pads but haven't looked into them, I do hear they are good for guns, particularly in my low temperature climate. Not sure how to, I've only done it by pushing the piston into the cylinder and holding my finger over the air nozzle.

Check the hop rubber for tears and wrap it in teflon tape.

I had the same problem with a classic army hk g33 after i disassembled it. Turns out i lost the spring that pushes the barrel/hop unit back against the gearbox durring reassembly. Not sure if this is the culpret with you but i know sometimes human error can occur.
