Hi Zip, SS-Man, Sascha Gusdorf here (aka: Ben); don't worry about acquiring a "sleeping bag"; the German Soldat and SS Soldier DID NOT use them. The average Soldat just rolled out his wool blanket, folded it in half, raised the flap, and lyed between it. That was the closest he would get to a "sleeping bag". On occasion, he and a comerade would lay the blanket out completly, lye down on it, and the other's blanket as a cover. As for your pillow, use your Rucksack. Don't bring out any modern pillows from home. NONE of the Germans in the field had such a luxery. Trust me; it may sound a little rough; but, hey, it wouldn't be "reenacting" right.
