I cant finda vendor that isnt sold out of tanaka Kar98s. I can find marushin ones, but I dont know if it is suitable for reenacting since they have the actual round ejection. \ Need some help here.

You really want the Tanaka. From a pure skirmish perspective it is powerful enough to be competitive even with the bolt action. The Marushin for the most part isn't powerful enough and as you surmised the ejecting shells though cool aren't practical in the field of play.
For the Tanaka budget an minimum of two spare magazines (fairly expensive!) or plan on getting them down the road.
Airsoftextreme in California (San Jose and Torrance) is a great supplier and big time legitimate airsoft supporter. They usually have them in stock or can reliably give you a realistic expectation for delivery.

Thanks for the help, but holy cow. It is way more expensive than other dealers!
Should I get the G version or the original tanaka?

One thing that's easily missed when Internet shopping is the cost of shipping. Prices in Asia look incredible until you add $70.00 dollars plus for shipping and start running into Custom delays if not out right seizures. Or run into questionable foreign dealers who take your money and don't deliver at all.
This is not a commercial for Airsoft Extreme or any other US dealer but it pays in the long run to deal with total costs and working with a supportive retailer.

Well, for now me and my friends make world war two short films. And since im 13, I wont be reenacrting for a while. I am going to grab the marushin for now.*For the realistic purposes* And continue to go airsofting and make movies with that. When i become a ww2 airsofter i will grab the tanaka, or whatever new comes out. Thanks for the help though, and that shop is right by my place. I should check it out.

Personally. I would recommend getting your K98 first, BEFORE you get your Impression for several reasons.
1. You Can Slowly build up your impression over time if your strapped for cash. And when the Supply of repro Bayonet sheaths drys up,, a new Production run is generally not to painfully far off.
2. There may not BE any more Tanaka KaR 98Ks produced in the future. The G Models might very well have ben the Last ones.
3. If you are as young as I think you are,, ( I believe you Said 13 on another post?) Than your probably going to experience a Growth Spurt within the next few years.
You wont Out grow that 500$ Rifle, But you will Probably Out grow that 400$ Uniform Within a year or so. Leaving you with nothing.
So I Suggest that If you can Find one, Get the Rifle and magazines First.

As I said, I am buying a quick little 140 dollar american uniform set for the time being so I can participate in some events soon. Then I am buying the winchester. When all of my allied impression is said and done, I will begin my Axis impression. I am surely going to have a growth spurt since my dad is 6,6.Once I have grown to a point that I am sure I wont grow much anymore, I will begin to build up my axis impression. Thanks for the advice and the info on the kAR 98. The good thing is, If I can't get a kar 98, I will be able to buy a Top mp40 or something.

It is HIGHLY unlikely that Tanaka is not going to procude any more Kar98k rifles. Last time, when the first model was stopped, everyone said that there would be no more, and half a year later, the g-version came. They make good money on these models, and of course they want to produce something that gives them money.

my main vendor for my time in airsoft has been www.redwolfairsoft.comthe shipping is expensive but that's because you get what you asked for only a day or two after you order it! they have the 98k and the mountain troop carbine version (the one i want)

Yes. Canada is teh fun for importing guns. Simply put, you can't do it. You need a liscence to get it in, an' expect to pay around 900 for a Tanaka, if not more. Now I have one bein' shipped to me as we speak, on special order from Airsoft Kelowna. DO NOT attempt to aquire one yourself, or you can kiss your hard earned doe goodbye.

I know a guy selling a K-98 G version with the repro German scope and 2 or 3 extra magazines. I think he is asking $600 or so. If you're interested I'll get his contact information to you.

Indy, if it is in the states, we can't get it across the border...without a bit of luck an' a illegal hollow seat. :S That always makes me sad. Y'all have some good prices on guns
