I wondered if it would be historically accurate if I had a heer tunic under a camo smock? Or would it be fine to get SS insignia to put on the heer tunic?

Hey Mauser, Try to keep your HEER impression 100% accurate okay. Don't mix "SS" with "Heer" camo patterns. Not only was this not acceptable in the field during the Third Reich years in WWII, but wearing this mixture out to a public event could cause a lot of "talk". Ya' know what I mean? Also, keep in mind; the "SS" and the "Heer" had more tension when they were together than apart. They darn-near hated one another, and would not have been caught dead in each other's camouflage patterns.

there was some mixed camo, but it was too rare for us reenactors to do, without looking silly i mean.
You need to chose SS or Heer and stick with it 100% -Gordak
