Unfortuneately, I am starting a local WWII Airsoft Group and have run into the brick wall of "not having thousands of dollars." And "Not wanting to ruin priceless originals."* Luckily, I have found a bunch of cheap reproduction M-43's and German Buttons to put on about 6 Swiss Coats for loaners for new people on the German Side. Problem is, I cannot find repro's of the classic Volksturm Armband (not the late war yellow crap) and need a good source. Any Help?
*I once had a dream where a local collector (one of the crazy types) shows up in von Arnims Original uniform to a Airsoft Reenactment. The fact he owned it (sold it for SS Uniforms) for a while made it all the more scary.

why not find a scan, clean it up then just print onto an iron on transfer sheet and iron it onto the fabric for the armband.....just a thought.

Actually, I just found a place. Just a question, has anyone figured out how to make an airsoft panserfaust, assumedly firing a hower of BB's or a foam projectile? I beleive that making a cheap foam firing Panzerfaust would be great for new people, who you put in a M-43, Jackboots, EG Pants, and an overcoat (not dyed due to late war color variations) with German Buttons and an armband, give him a panzerfaust, and he's set. But what about the Panzerfaust.

Well, I've seen many different types of projectile weapons. A panzerfaust, in theory, could be made of a steel pipe (Anything with compressed air should be metal, I would strongly resist the urge to use PVC because of the safety issues) and be powered by a 12oz CO2. It should give the foam warhead a velocity of 160ish FPS and travel a fair enough distance (Based off a similiar idea used for a modern launcher). Maybe a panzerfaust 30?
These are just thoughts that one, who has experience fabricating, can run with.

Do what I do. Get dyes, paints, et cetera. Many times, it was the only thing available, so work it out, or I can find you something.

Hey i tried to start a unit almost identical to yours. I guess the only difference was we were all 14. We even used the swiss coats. Eventually though our south carolina airsoft association gave us a hard time about being germans and calling us the hitler youth and bla bla bla. But anyway where are you from? If you are nearby im interested in joining. Sometimes i just feel obligated to put on my old uniform and look at my self in the mirror for old times sake.

Looks great Dan. My son builds LAW rockets generally following the same concept. I'm assuming you're shooting the 2" NERF foam howler rockets. Depending on the size of the expansion chamber you can achieve a range of 130 yards with the ball valve CO2 device.
One recommended adaptation that we've had great luck with is to add a half cup of TALC powder so the firing creates a launch signature and a cool trail to the rocket for a distance.

I've kept my expansion chambers on the small side to be compact but have thought of experimenting with larger sizes. I'll remember the powder thing that sounds like a great idea.

Hey TS ALLEN where did you get your Volksturm Armbands at? I'm starting a unit like yours in the Northwest.

I have an old custom tool my great uncle used to act as a pump to get muck out from around his dock, despite being orange in color(whihc I could paint) it looks just like a panzerfaust, actually when I first saw it I thought it was some type of launcher. It even has a sight type thing that looks very realistic(it was originally used to keep the tool from going into the mire too deep, but it looks very real). Also, how realistic are you all about your uniforms? I will soon have a 1939 Iron Cross, Second Class and even though I wouldnt bring it on the field I have a Dress Sword from a German Officer which also is original. And if I can attend any of these games, do you guys(axis side) actually use swastika items? My grandfather was a sergeant and armored car commander in ww2 and has alot of old german stuff(including a large Nazi flag, if you have a large for or fortification, idk. Just seeing what you guys have).
