Hello is there a plastic kar 98k bayonet that would go on the tanaka kar 98k rifle. Do I have to buy a real one or is there a plastic or rubber one Just wondering.
Thanks all

That will work, but is not original. The WW2 German Bayonets have plastic handles that are flat on both ends, while the Yugo have wood handles that have an agle near the hilt end. Also, the German bayonets do not have the ring to go around the barrel. It will fit on the 98k, so if you have to have a bayonet and cannot afford a reproduction (about $50), that one will be a decent choice.

Honestly, I would buy a real german bayonet and leave it at that. You can get a decent one for $75 ( www.1944militaria.com ) and you can do whatever you want. And to top it all off you will have the pleasure of something original!
