I'v been thinking about buying some fallschrimjager pants, I'v noticed that several diffrent sources potray the pants in diffrent colors. so far I'v seen green, blue, grey, and black (or dark grey I guess). Can anyone tell me if I am going crazy or did the pants really come in all these diffrent colors, and were they made of wool or somthing else? I like the look of the blackish ones though, they look awsome with the smock!

yes different colors for different things. example they wore green smocks and green pants in the Afrika Corp early war. the 6th FJ wore blue pants during Normandy. Dark gray, well just about everyunit in the German army wore grey. They are made of wool, and yes the FJ impression is my favorite, it just looks so cool. DrewB/Sniper Guy

Nice aadan and Drewb. The FJ had tons of colors, yes including that tropical color. I mostly see jump pants in a sort of light gray. I personally will be getting that and a plain green jump smock (kreta). I have a question, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I know the FJ had a few models of helmets. An early/middle/and late? At crete they would have worn the early and that would have both decals right? So then, I have seen it with the shiny button things (i belive they hold the liner part in) and without, which would it be?

yes I have seen many colors on original FJ pants, just never the same blue as the tunic! Ive seen teal green blue, like police, and a brown grey that looked like swedish!! i gues the only rule is, dont let it match your tunic -Gordak
