Marushin M1 Carbine double-stack mag mod?

Greetings Yentlemen,

I was recently talking to someone who also owns a Marushin M1 Carbine in CO2, when they mentioned that they were "fairly certain" that there is some kind of mod to allow the magazine to hold 30 rounds. When I was looking at pictures of the mags, I was wondering the same thing - perhaps they can be modified to double-stack?

I know this goes against the 'real steel' magazine capacity, but in order to make the weapon slightly more skirmishable I am willing to fly in the face of historical accuracy. After all, mags are $50+ a pop.

my firend did modify the mag to take more bb's i don't remember if it was necessarily double stack but all you need to do is

"Remove the pin in the spring section of the mag"
