Has anyone ever done this before? I know I have been searching all over for spare 8mm clips, and havnt turned up anything. I was thinking of just using my 1 clip as a guide and make a casting of the parts in silicone, and pour resin copys. I have the springs available to put in them, but I am wondering how well they would hold up. Should I make the outer part, with the "wings" out of sheet metal, and attach the innards to that? I have a feeling that if the outer shell is made out of resin the "wings" would snap off easily in pouches

I believe remrat had something going about this, don't know what happened. If you can make cheap pinging clips, I'd be all over em.

I don't think I would make them specifically to ping, I just want more clips, and for them to be durable enough for extended use

I don't see conventioned poured molded plastic as being strong enough. For the kind of durability I believe you would need injected molded parts and the intial set up cost for that effort would be extremely expensive unless spread out amongst thousands of produced parts.

What if I used RS enblocs? I could then just attach a resin, or some other material piece that holds the BB's, as well as a follower. I'll have to talk to my Uncle about possibly making molds for pot metal, and how practical it would be for this.

How does the size of the marushin compare to a real en bloc? If it's pretty much the same size it should work, and make a ping too.

Pretty much the same size doesn't work with anything related to airsoft feed systems. EXACTLY and PRECISELY the same size is the requirement. I doubt vey much that the outer shell of the RS enblocks are the same as the Marushin but if so...it would be cool to fashion an insert.

Just to test it out, I ordered a set of 10 enblocs. Even if they don't fit, I'm saving up for a RS M1 anyway, so they will still get used eventually

Just an update. They would work perfectly, as all the tabs and such line up, but the base of the enbloc is just a hair too wide. Not going to work
