I just finished up my BAR10 Dboys springer conversion project. It came out pretty good, and is a great shooter. I can hit you easily at 100m. I have heavily upgraded the internals, and indeed that is were most of the cost was in this project. List of upgrades: Angel custom steel cylinder w/ teflon coat Angel custom zero alpha trigger and upgrade piston Angel custom elongated hop unit and v notch hop sp170 spring 6.01 500mm steel precision barrel and a metal bearing spring guide The bayonet is a resin one that I got off eBay. Fits nicely. The thing I like best about my gun is the short magazines, they allowed me to not have to cut the trigger guard. They only hold 12 rounds, but that makes my loading more historically correct. ie I have to load more often! The mags also fit nicely into my cartridge boxes. I can even squeeze 2 into one it I want, although not necessary because they are harder to get at and I don't need more than 6 for a action. I measured out 100 meters, or 328+ feet to see how it did at that distance. No problems hitting a man sized target. I might want to go to a sp190 spring, to extend that range, but I don't want to unnecessarily hurt someone either at close range. So I will have to carry my Luger for that. Im going to mount a 4x32 scope to it with high see through post mounts for use as the company Sharpshooter. Here is a link to my Photobucket page with the rest of the pics of some of the construction and close up details.

Sweet!
I'm looking forward to seeing it in person at the Overlord game.
For those who won't be there, some pics of the bottom would be excellent, I'm sure a lot of people are curious about how the magwell turned out. I know I am!

Really nice job Jerry! Just curious about the stain. How did you make plastic look that nice or is it real wood?

Obergrefrieter Raimund sold me a wooden stocked Dboys and I used that instead of the plastic Dboys stock I had. I just sanded down the wood stock and stained it with dark walnut stain. I really let the stain stay on thick while it dried to get the dark look I wanted. Then I coated it with 3 coats of tung oil hard sealer. It could still use one more sanding and coat of the sealer.
