I was wondering what an easy first conversion would be. If you have an easier option in mind, please state below.

Any bolt action WW2 main battle rifle will be about the same amount of work. Typically it comes down to cost of components needed. The Springfield parts are the most expensive to acquire and Enfield probably the least costly. The marriage between a dboys Kar 98 and Bar 10 is a popular choice and several have recently been done with nice tutorials on the process. Go back through the archived threads and you see enfield and springfield builds.

I saw how cheap the Enfield parts were online, but I also found that the MAS parts weren't too expensive either. I haven't seen anyone do a MAS 36 conversion yet, so I thought that it could be sort of interesting.

The MAS would be an interesting conversion? I was thinking of doing one a while back but couldn't find cheap parts. Where the would you get them from? Also, the Kar98 would probably be your best bet as its fairly simple

I found parts on some website but there were a lot of parts that I couldn't find. I think that the Enfield is probably my best option, being that I don't do german so a Kar98 wouldn't be of much use to me.

Ah yes. That would make sense. You might want to take a look at Roma's walkthrough on his Enfield. It looked fabulous

I agree that ROMAs conversion is in my opinion the best overall Enfield. I did a bunch of them using a very sophomoric approach that was quite inexpensive and looked decent and also did a couple that married actual enfields and bar 10s that were more work, more expensive and frankly much nicer then the resin ones. It is up to you to decide what gun you are passionate enough about to endure the expense and effort required to complete the project. As you see from all the builders remarks the effort is worth it and there is nothing better then fielding your own creation.
