Hello! Before anyone takes a look at the pics, I only put money into this for the mags and sling w/ oiler. I actually kind of "wasted" money on this. I used only what I had. I first tried this with a M14 stock, but that proved to be too wide, so I decided to tear up my springer M1 Carbine. Marrying it up with the internals of the sniper rifles and adding on the stock and handguard with chopper up springer M16 stocks. The base sniper rifle was this AGM APS2 Type 96 I had laying around. Unfortunately, trying to find and research the proper upgrades for this was fruitless as I ended up ordering VSR parts for a system that was only VSR based for the hopup/barrel and trigger assembly (although, I now have those parts for when I make my next WWII rifle). No upgrades internally and it somehow lost FPS during the mod. It shoots at 280 FPS with .28 and close to 300 with .25. I will be trying to get a more correct scope and forward barrel band, and further my research on getting the proper internal upgrades. Is it perfect or as good as anywhere near as good as other Springfields I see here? Not by a long shot. I opted to be cheap on this, but I really do like how it turned out. Even though its not perfect, or may not even be good, I'm going to keep it as a memento and a stepping stone into the world of WWII airsofting.

Looks just as good as mine, I used a drill rifle stock and things look a bit... askew. Mine also has some strange fps and accuracy problems after the mod (but we discussed that in another thread!). I like how you used the original magazine well, mine uses a screw to keep the magazine in place and I need either a coin or a screwdriver to remove the magazine. Just out of curiosity, what did you use for the outer barrel? I used a copper pipe which I tried to paint black. Looks pretty good!

For the outer barrel, I used the left over M14 outer barrel from my G43 project, and cut it down. I actually installed the under carriage stabilizer thing from the M14, the thing that keeps the barrel straight and from coming out and rotating.
