I really had no idea where to put this thread... Sorry. So this thread is for ideas pertaining to anything and everything that is related to WWII Airsoft but not the weapon portion of it. I'll kick this off with my idea for a Longhouse, which can be used as an oversized display case or barracks. Here are just some pictures of a quick model I threw together. The length is 50ft, the width is 15ft, and the height without the roof is 8 1/2ft. The main support beams are 8ft tall and the extra 1/2ft is because of the supporting beam. I don't know how soon I'll be able to do this but hopefully this sparks some interest in other projects as well!

I had an idea about how to construct buildings, which I believe was used in the making of at least one of the Harry potter movies. The top parts of the buildings are made of foam bricks, so that if they are hit by mortar or artillery fire, they explode, but remain safe to be raining down around people.

If you wanted to make a longhouse for people to camp in or store gear in, and still be easy to tear down and move, why not a tent? Build it the same way. Do some uprights in the centers, and at the sides, and hang it all with rope tie downs. The bottom edges could be lashed down to prevent drafts, and for winter games, could make a simple stove heater out of a steel drum with a chimney that easily breaks down too. It would keep everyone warm and dry, but could be torn done like a tent and rolled up. Much easier to toss a 2-6ft rolled up tent into a pickup, rather than laying down interlocking sections onto a flatbed. Another thing you could do would be add in a flap that sections off the rearmost section and put up rifle racks for attendees to store their guns, and a folding wooden table to do any major repair work if need be. It could be your own little on the field armory!

There are sections of OD Canvas in widely assorted sizes which make impressive and authentic looking tents for really reasonable money.
