He custom ordered everything, so his items havent fully arrived yet. I think that is a fantastic jump on your impression. You are also forgetting that canteen! See...you have more than you thought you had! J/K, but I think you will really enjoy reenacting Italian. And when you get more into it, you start to learn about the history and realise that they weren't the cowards they were made out to be.

Sounds like an amazing start. GOod job! Actually, they really aren't. We may have technically beat them for the greco-italian war or whatever they call it. But once under german comand italians actually kicked some serrious @$$. Dont underestimate an italian. (or a greek )

They were pretty much a push-over at Sicily. But that's not to there discredit, as they had been fighting hard up until that. I've heard some even put on thei dress uniforms to surrender, and didn't even need to be gaurded they were so happy to be done with the war. Even if it meant they had to sit in a POW camp.

You guys are right, for the most part, but you have to realise the huge disadvantages the italians had. Entering greece with only 2- months of training, invading a mountainous land with no air support (Regia Aeronautica sucked!) "Never in my life have I encountered anything like the Folgore paratroopers." - British CO at El Alamein "The Italian Alpini were the only axis force that the russians never fully defeated." <- before I get flamed for that statement, I mean they covered their retreat and broke through the Russian encirclement and escaped imprisonment. I don't mean to get into a discussion here about the Italians in the war, but I had to stick up for my great grandpa
