Anyone ever thought of building a De lisle airsoft rifle? Amazing little piece of British craftsmanship. If so , what would be a good base gun/guns to start with?

Hmmmm given that it would require a bit more work then a traditional enfield of which millions were made vs the 130 or so delisle carbines it would strike me a a goofy project to pursue. Obviously a marriage of enfield parts and a Bar 10 VSR would be my recommendation but at a time when we need main battle rifles and common rifles available have no interest whatsoever.

I thought of it as a very neat challenge because that very fact that they are short in numbers. This would be a build just out of enjoyment. I was batting the idea of using a Co2 .45 as a means of firing . Not exactly sure how but I think with the real artical having a short bolt a gas or Co2 build would be ideal.,, tho it may be the most difficult too. Any way. I like the de lisle . It's unsung yet a marvelous price of ww2 history. Love the British commando raids and behind enemy lines missions .
