It *should* work for you. I have the cyma thompson, typewriter version. I'd imagine the king arms and Cyma's are very close if not identical. To make mine into a M1928a1, all I did was full in the sides of the inncorrectly shaped reciever with 1/4" aluminum sheet strips and Bondo. I drilled the top for the handle and cut out the slit, made a plate to mount the handle to and used the original handle with a notch out of the top for the sights to see through. Not perfect, but I have the correct reciever shape, finned barrel and cutts up front. I also made a horizontal foregrip out of a piece of lumber.

Have they not started selling the new King Arms 1928 in the states? More or less curious as has been out in Asia for a wee while.

I know, I just can't afford $400 right now For 145 I can get a KA M1A1 and then a 1928 receiver with the bolt on the site for $30 Along with a flutter barrel and cutts compensator for another 50
I was checking here first

So the top of a 1928 won't fit onto the lower of a M1A1?

Also, could a m1a1 fore grip just screw onto a 1928 style barrel, right where the vertical grip is?
