Returned from school to find my package in the mail-box. The question is, can I saw it by hand onto my M36 tunic? Here is a picture; get it? HERE? (HEER) https://instagram.com/p/1vXlkcj4L1 Please respond soon! Cheers!

I wouldn't post that to Instagram might come back and bite you in the butt later. The eagle is incorrect. Wool EM eagles never existed. I guess it could suffice temporarily, however I would replace it as soon as possible. Sewing it by hand is not correct, just less common than machine stitching. I personally could care less if it's hand sewn or machine sewn; I got both machine sewn and hand sewn insignia on my tunic.

From context, I believe ssgjoe meant to say "correct" rather than "not correct" when talking about hand sewing, and he is correct (or not not correct) once the statement is corrected. Hand-sewn originals exist and are not uncommon, but the most typical would be, as he says, machine sewing.
And he is also correct in saying the wool EM eagle is incorrect. I don't know why these seem to be cropping up in such abundance lately, but I'm seeing a lot of people new to the hobby getting them.

I'm not sure why they make wool EM eagles. I'm thinking maybe the Chinese companies saw the embroided officers eagles, and somehow made the incorrect connection to EM eagles.
