Get an M43 heer tunic, M42 keilhousen, and if ANY camo just have a splinter helmet cover. Heer over SS anyday! In WWII there way about 10 Heer soldiers per 1 or 2 SS soldiers. In reenacting it's vice versa.

DOT44 tunic and pants or M40 tunic and pants wich makes a better 9th SS impression? It is your choice, the SS wore both uniform. Don't forget the Erbsenmuster(pea44) was late war design and wasn't that widespread, so it will not look right if you re-enact prior'44 SS. Though getting an M43 Camouflage set is cheaper than getting the M40 Set plus smock. I like my Erbsenmuster, too bad its small on me

I would genereally hold a bit back on the early war uniform. Get an M42 or 43 instead of the 40, and get Keilhosen instead of Langhosen or the prewar model. It's not an parade of the pretty uniforms, it's supposed to look historically correct
