****This is a repost thanks to Dracul placing it in the right place now.**** Hello all from Nj, my friend is getting me to switch from Vietnam-based Airsoft to WW2 just a basic U.S Riflemen setup. I am new to these forms and have been searching the past couple of days all over this form for a step by step guide on how to build a M1 Garand AEG. IF there is anyone who can help point me in the right direction ( yes i have browsed the M1 Garand forum) I would be very thankful! I am confused onto what i need to buy? Im currently looking at buying the basic needed to make it then go from there. Here are a few sites of parts i think i need. Replacement Metal parts. www.ammogarand.com/m1-garand-butt-stock-amp-hand-guard-metal-set-includes-lower-ban1.htmlFront and Rear Handguard- www.e-sarcoinc.com/m1grdhandgrdswmtlnewfrondkhardwoodtandrear.aspxWould anyone happen to know a useful site to buy a reasonable Gas cylinder with Front sight? ( I saw 2nd Bats DIY but there were no pictures) Cheers

Northridge armory typically had good deals on complete poor grade gas assemblies although I had a fellow at the gunshow who was my most consistent source. You can do a nice job on the project without the hardware package you showed that included the butt plate by modifying the M14 parts. Also I have a fully modified m14 to m1 lower stock that is fully set up to snap into place with the augmentation piece, sling hardware, butt plate and finish work all done. I could include with it the full step by step instructions for the project and three modified clips for $65.00 plus shipping
