Project SVT-40 AEG SVT-40 History : The Samozaryadnaya Vintovka Tokareva, Obrazets 1940 goda ("Tokarev Self-loading Rifle, Model of 1940", Russian: Самозарядная винтовка Токарева, образец 1940 года) or SVT-40 is a Soviet semi-automatic battle rifle. The SVT-40 saw widespread service during and after World War II. Intended to be the new service rifle of the Soviet Red Army, production was disrupted by the German invasion in 1941 resulting in a change back to the older Mosin–Nagant bolt-action rifle for the duration of WWII. After the war new rifles were adopted by the Soviet Union, such as the SKS and the AKM. Project SVT-40 AEG : Some real steel parts (Front assembly, rear sight block, bolt and cover), Repro wood stock, M14 ver.7 gearbox modified, AK hop-up chamber modified, SVD mags modified, Programable mosfet controller for single shot function, fabricated ABS receiver and trigger assembly 11.1v 1000mah lipo, TM motor, 590mm barrel, 450fps single shooting only

Obvious new weapons opportunity for a manufacturer willing to step up. This and a G43 seem so obvious and yet....CYMA, S&T, ECHO1 are you paying attention? Beautifully done! Thank you for sharing. Looks and sounds like you did it up right.

Whatever you did to create the proper gap between the trigger and the magazine was brilliant and would no doubt work for a G43 project. Excellent work. By moving the gear box forward you were able to either minimize or eliminate the amount of hollowing work in the stock neck which is very clever. My guess is you relocated the trigger rather than the magazine/ hopup location?

Sorry for the late reply stuka - its a SVD hicap mags, i used a polyester body filler to hide the ribbed mag metal casing DRK - Sorry not selling 2nd Bat - Yes, you are correct. Discarded the M14 trigger mechanism on the ver7 gearbox and kept the whole GB seating a bit forward to compensate the alignment between the hop up chamber's feed tube and mags bb outlet. To get a realistic measurement on the gap between the mags and trigger, I end up building a simple trigger assembly using M4 trigger, 2 metal contact and a spring, and was installed just below the motor. Then i installed a programmable burst mosfet since i don't have a mechanical cut off lever system for single shot. (programmed to shoot single fire only)

Looks truly excellent, very realistic, did you have to buy a whole parts kit to get the real steel parts,we're they expensive? What is the make of burst control mosfet?could you review it.Will it allow full auto also,I am am looking for such a unit myself but I am still researching it and have not made a choice yet.Any body else have any recommendations for a burst mosfet for full auto /semi control on a gearbox without a cut off lever and remotely positioned trigger microswitch. Also what is volt and amp rating for the microswitch, any recommendations on that part from anybody?
