Can someone supply me with the width and height of both the upper and lower pockets for the German M36 tunic? How far from bottom of the upper pockets to the top of the flap for the lower pockets? Also it appears on officers tunics that the lower pockets are slightly off set?

Upper Pockets: Height-6.25 inches Width-5.5 inches Width of pleat-1.25
Lower Pockets: Height-8 inches Width, at bottom, before the rounded corners-8.5 inches Width, at top, under the flap-8 inches Width of pleat-4cm
The distance between the bottom pocket flap to the bottom edge of the top pocket? I'm pretty sure that changes with the size (large size would have a bigger gap, while a smaller size would be smaller), but for a large, I'm getting 5.25 inches.
Not sure about officer tunics, hopefully someone else can tell you that. I don't know the degree of change from enlisted to officer in the tunics. If perhaps any exist, besides insignia.
(side note, I've gotten these measurements from a chinese repro, so my numbers are only as accurate as this is.....)

That really helps a ton. I don't need these to be precise I just didn't want them to be flagrantly off when the cost of doing them is the same either way.
It appears in numerous ( admittedly reproduction pictures). That the line along the inside pocket edge of the upper and lower pocket is strack while for officers tunics the lower pocket inside edge aligns with the pleat of the upper pocket leaving it staggered and more to the side of the wearer? It also appears that officers tunics has french cuffs?

Searching through ATF, Hessen Antique, SM Wholesale, and Lost Battalions, I can't find anything, pocket wise, that would differ from enlisted to officer.
Furthermore, according to Lost Battalions, the pockets of an enlisted M36 weren't changed when an Officer had an enlisted tunic modified to an officer tunic for field duty (and leave his specific, fancy officer tunic in a nice, clean space). Cuffs, collar, insignia were changed, nothing about pockets.
Only things I can say is that maybe the angle of the picture is making it look that way or the repro is just a bad repro, or both.

Hmmmm? Either way its probably not a detail worth bothering with on my hokey homemades tunics. Especially since my plan is for them to mostly be covered by smocks and zelts!

Many officer tunics were actually modified enlisted man tunics, many officers even used basic officer tunics.
