Drac, even if we have differing perspectives on the place of stuff like this in the hobby, that doesn't change the fact that you took something that was essentially toy-quality and made it look actually really, really good. I have the deepest respect for that.
Have you ever thought about doing film work when you get out? I'm not at all joking-- while we can debate the merit of plastic helmets in an immersive event (and have we ever!), the fact of the matter is that this kind of stuff is done all the time in Hollywood to stretch budgets and get massive amounts of extras who you might only get a brief glimpse of in the background to look the part on the cheap. Your ingenuity and creativity (not to mention your sewing skills) I think would be something that would take you very far in that kind of work. Just a thought.

Inster, Thanks!
I've thought about it for a long time, but this stuff is something I'd definitely prefer to keep as a hobby. I don't want to end up hating it because it becomes my bread and butter and which forces me to do it. When that happens, it not fun at that point. Sure, commissions and trades and what not here and there? Sure, but I can't see myself doing it as full time work.
Also, I got a buddy in Hollywood who works at a prop house, and some of the stories he told, just man. He told me once "Working in show business is as cutthroat as politics."
But thanks for the suggestion, though.

I just received my initial shipment of crafted supplies from Dracul and I have to say I couldn't be happier with the items. The helmets with covers and chin straps look way better in person than in the pictures and the ammo pouches are way way nicer than I was expecting.
Amazing work! Perfect for my purposes!
