Good day gentlemen!
I was wondering if someone would be able to help? I acquired a boneyard Marushin M1 Garand with a view to doing it up- I even managed to find steel replacement parts for everything but part #45!
My issue is that I sent part #45 off in the post to have a new one machined by an engineer friend of mine and it has got lost.
Does anyone have an old part #45 that they would be willing to part with or know of any obscure places to get one? (KIC BBgun don't have any!).
I'm well aware of the limitations of the gun- it's not necessarily going to be a skirmish weapon.
Many thanks!

So the part 45 turned up in the post but I have encountered a problem that I can't seem to find the answer to on the webz.
Whenever I try to gas the tank, the gas shoots straight out the front again. The gas is leaking from a silver pin type thing that moves freely above the brass blowback tube tube (not sure if that makes sense?). I suspect it may be part 72 on the exploded diagrams. If I press the pin forward from inside the receiver and try to gas it up, it actuates the blowback mech as it leaks.
Any ideas?

So I took the whole thing apart and doscovered that without the brass blowback mech in place, the gas doesn't leak out at all... Put it all back together and managed to fire a couple of shots until the gas ran out.
However, whwn ut came to gassing it up again the gas pissed out the front again...

Never mind, I know what the problem is.
All I need now is for the custom part 45 to be made.

Fishmeok,
Thanks. I've actually ordered a bunch of parts from KIC already and are en route (no part 45 though). Blowback mech is actually fine- without part 45 in situ, pulling the trigger will drop the hammer on the release valve and it will vent everywhere. Kinda obvious really!
