Looking for an old Kar98 thread

I've been looking for an old thread that I came across a while ago and haven't been able to find again. Someone did a real steel Kar98 conversion, but not using a VSR or BAR. He also had an internal magazine loaded with a speedloader. Anyone remember that? Or has senility set in?

Schmitty here locally (way back when). Did a brilliant Kar98 which functioned like you described. An absolutely spectacular replica (as are all of his efforts)

Got it. Thanks. Unfortunately the pics seem to be gone, but the description is helpful. I was kind of wondering if something of the like could be done with a D-Boys Kar98. Undoubtedly well above my skill level.

Without the pictures its hard to recall precisely what he did but I remember that the feed system was very clever, the gun looked absolutely amazing and it was a flawless shooter. I can't think of any reason the mod couldn't be done to a DBoys Kar 98.

I my not have the right specs on right now but what pulled back and cocked the v3 piston,and how was the mechanism connected to the trigger.The piston assembly is a long way forward from the trigger so I am curious how it worked.
