Hi everybody. I know the basics of what I need for an ordinary Wehrmacht uniform, and i know that some stores are pretty good, like lostbattalions.com and atthefront.com, but where could i get more hard to find items such as a breadbag and items to go in it? Im looking to buy a Tokyo Marui MP40, so i need help locating the magazine pouches as well. if i decide not to get the MP40, could anybody tell me where to get another good gun. I would greatly appreciate it.

Being on a German unit I know how hard it is to get a decent Airsoft gun. The TM MP-40 will only disappoint you. I would suggest getting the top MP-40, as the body of that gun is very well built. However, the FPS on the baffle system inside that gun is junk. Therefore after some time I would upgrade the gun with a PGC gearbox. A couple of guys on my unit have the top upgraded and the gun shoots very well, is hefty and sadly is costly after the upgrade. I mean, the internals on the AGM are nice and the Body on the TOP is nice. Combine the two and you have a really nice gun. I wonder when the Airsoft gun manufactures will build a MP-40 as nice as TM built their M1 A1 Thompson’s and for the same price range. |

Having had both a TOP and an AGM I really don't see much of any difference in the bodies. The mags on the AGM certainly work better as does the mechbox. Pass the TOP by and stick with the AGM.

the top is blued..., thats the only cool part, the AGM is painted, but otherwise the AGM is a much better/ cheaper gun.

Gordak has a good point. On the Top you are kind of really paying for the Stamped metal more than the effectiveness of the gun.

The TOP mp40 is much higher quality in build than the China mp40.
Although, I'd stick with the Chinese one as the gun works fine and mags are available for it. Also its interchangeable with TM parts.

I've seen many samples of the china MP40, some of them are pretty rough, others pretty good. With the ones that were pretty good the TOP model didn't really distinguish itself save for the finish.

Replica breadbags are all over Ebay/ebay stores. I just bought another one on Monday.
Other than a gas mask can (which I got from ATF) nothing has been hard to find.

I need a proper Luft blue breadbag myself I don't think mine is like the WW2 one, it's more modern. It looks ok but I won't be happy till I get the right one. I can buy a repro from Cap't Zak for about 45.00 I think but I haven't yet.

Ok , AGM MP40 is cheap, and mags are easy to come by and cheap as well.
If you really want to carry "Period" stuff in your breadbag, try the axis history fourm, they can tell you whats what.
I carry BBs in mine.

They can also hold a Green Gas (or HFC-134A) can well. BBs will go in there good. Other things to put in there would be baged food (paper only) things like bread, cold cuts, and cheeses.

I know he can get Grey, Blue and Green bread bags. They are all reproductions however. Also, he can get the mess kits and stuff like that. Only thing that is hard to come by I find are the period Water Canteens. |

You will be sorry...that you spent 4x more and that the mags feed like crap.
I paid less than the just the TOP gun itself. I got AGM MP40, 6 extra mags and a lipo battery with charger.
Its cheaper, runs better stock, way way easier to upgrade, cheaper mags.
Oh yes you will be sorry
