Sorry forgot to add that! I made a little piece out of some sheet aluminum, probably should have put that on. Ill fix that.

I just put the top loop thanks ya stitch-nazi...(flectarn) ;D . I painted it too and I will post pics of when it is dry tommorrow. Jaeger I JB welded the custom loops on. The top one is a little sloppy but from far away not even a stitch-nazi of the highest rank can recognize it. Thanks for the help Flectarn. Franz

I fail to realise the difference between the post-ear and wartime messtins. Could someone please post comparison pics of each?

I used Grey rustoleum since that color was a little brighter than the res of the mess tin I scratched it a little bit to give it that "used look". Here is a pic of the Tin before I added the bottom loop: Here is the finished product of what mine should look like: *Note the top loop*

well I didnt like the "New" paint job, so I wore down the edges it looks much better once the paint drys Ill post a pic.
