Looks good! I got my hair cut a tad shorter and I got it thinned out in the back (my hair is thick like the black forest of Germany) this evening for the upcoming Anzio event too. However, mine is nowhere near as authentic as yours. I'll try to comb/slick mine back before I leave.

Thanks guys. Oh and Dan, I've read your post 5 times and I still dont under stand what you mean by the 2nd part. Are you talking about the wireing on the MP40? You said you wouldent do that until later this week. Or, is it 100% un realted mis typeage? lol. Its all good man.
17 SS Allshaus, If you want your hair thined you need to go to a salon. The art of thining the hair has seemed to fall threw the cracks of the barber. I have to get my hair thined, other wise I grow a afro. They have a little tool. Its like a comb with a razor at the base...

looks good russianboy. I got my haircut about 2 weeks ago I just asked the barber for something nice, neat and a little short on the sides with enough room on the top to comb it. We got it pretty darn close to what I wanted too. From what I've seen mostly on the American side and by what my grandfathers said, it was more common to comb your hair to the sides than to the back. The basic look is what your mom combed your hair like during school picture day. If this confuses anybody, just look at a picture.

Looks good, but you might want to use a differnet product in your hair. I use Royal Crown hair dressing, hasn't change since the 1930s. I got mine at a Top Food, I don't know where you would get it down south. Just look for Royal Crown. It has a red container and a sliver lid with a crown on top. I don't know maybe its the shirt but you look like a 80's mafia member

That is a great site and that is exactly what I took to the stylist to go by. My haircut turned out very well.

The thing about Royal Crown is that its so bad for your hair it can fall out if you use too much. LOL, 1980s mafia...

If you are only using it for reenactments you'll be fine. But I know what you are talking about.

if you want something a bit lighter on the hair try some 3 flowers hair oil...you can find it at just about any older supermarket....it's good bit lighter on the hair than vaseline and easier to wash out...

German regulation is no hair touching the ears or the coller of your shirt. I pass with both of those even by reenacting standards.

Perhaps I will do that. I'm ugly but I think the haircut is pretty spot on.

I decided to go 1940's German retro last week with my hair. The girl who cut it actually said she loved that style. Go figure.
