Hallo all,
I came to this forum through a search on german uniforms patterns for self tailoring.
Maybe you have some for tailoring/improving a gebirgsaeger bergmutze cap, quite similar to the m43 but not so much.
I got one from Europe with Erel markings, in USA it is the one sold by Hessen antique .
Despite being very well made the flaps are not so good, thei have an incorrect size (too tall) and the angle they form is too straight, looks like an m43 while bergmutze's flaps are more curved.
Not soo important but the cap just doesn't look right.
Regards

The best patterns for WWII I've found are from Harriett's historical patterns. Outside of that, you are going to have to draft your own patterns from deconstructed repros or from similar-looking articles.
If you self-tailor, it sould be easy to take apart the cap you got, trace the pieces, and then modify the just-drawn pattern.
