I'm selling off this Redfire Mosin Nagant package with scope and plastic/rubber bayonet. Its boneyard because I am unable to get the feeding mechanism working. I originally did get this boneyard and managed to fix up other parts of it. It has the after market trigger sear, and a custom lathe made plunger. The action works and air seals are fine, just BBs won't load into it, and I haven't had much time to try to figure it out. Only other big discrepancy is "little red" engraved on the scope from the previous owner, which could be painted over easily. Price is $150 shipped to US address, paypal only, and maybe negotiable.

At this point, just really need this gone. $150 is already an amazing price what I put into it, I'm dropping it down to $100, shipped in CONUS. Paypal only.

That's really an excellent deal. My only issue is my location. Otherwise I would've jumped on this long time ago

Do you have any idea how to fix the feed mechanism?

Is it spring or gas powered? And is it still available?

Last I looked at the Mosin Nagant stock was too thin for a Bar 10 conversion otherwise it might be a fun project. Take a look at it relative to the SMLEs I did up for you.

One reason its being sold. However, Hairy Apple Style conversion is still possible and this would have everything you need for it.

I could nor help but google Hairy Apple Style .
I have no idea what you are talking about.
I would think KJW Tanaka M700 will work but not sure why would be better.

Hairy Apple was a frequent contributor years ago and a talented DIYer in the early stages of several of us figuring out how to do bolt action conversions. Instead of full stock modifications whichcan be challenging and in some cases impossible (typically due to the VSR internals being too fat or too tall for the center area of the original stock. He simply married the forestock and in some cases the butt stock and forestock into a chopped up VSR center stock section. It became the "Hairy Apple" approach. It presents an approach that is far less daunting but potentially can produce very satisfactory results. Certainly not perfect but with careful blending pretty impressive. Obviously since the trigger and mag set ups are used, alignment and operation are facilitated very nicely.

Thanks- I reas through the forum about it. I think such kind of approach is too ambitious for me. But I totally agree - in some other hands this can look impressive.

Its also the more mechanically reliable approach. You aren't messing with or trying to align the action and barrel in a new body. Anything related to the action (trigger, magazine, bolt, hopup) are unchanged. You are basically only are doing comestic work to a VSR.

1. Yes. Still available. 2. No, I haven't had the time to look into or try to fix it more, or I would have updated the first post.

Dracul - went ahead and resent my earlier message using the 'send message' function on your information page. If you still do not receive - there must be some glitch getting in the way!
I believe I'd like to purchase the averted rifle w. box and accessories at the terms proferred ($100 w. shipping included).
Thanks much
