Back when I was producing M1 conversions sourcing Garand Gas Assemblies was always hit or miss and frequently quite expensive. ($65.00 to $75.00 for full assemblies). I had a source from a fellow at the local gun show who sold me slightly out of spec seconds which would not be acceptable for use on an actual gun but we're perfect for my M14 conversions. I dried up his supply long ago. I ran into him at the show this weekend and he had a half dozen set aside for me at $45.00 each. I really didn't NEED any but I bought them anyway. I'll find a use for them eventually but if anyone wants one I'll take $50.00 for one.
These would work to enhance your ICS Garand or to complete a DIY M14 conversion or do up a prop Garand which is probably what I will do with most of them. Shipping actual cost, US only!

These include a short section from the original Garand at the muzzle. This barrel section extends slightly beyond the locking lug (as it should) and slightly back from the forward channel. This was always a component that needed to be fabricated which was somewhat challenging to line up perfectly with the brass inner barrel of the M14. The inner barrel now lines up perfectly easing assembly considerably. I also used to shorten the front and rear handguard slightly so I didn't have to create a barrel section (other than the muzzle tip). Because the M14 rear butt stock is slightly longer than the M1 the overall length of my conversion is correct although for nitpickers a little off in proportion. This extended barrel section would readily eliminate that although to be more precise you'd want to dremel off about 1/2 inch from the M14 buttstock. (Easily done). The butt stock screws would still work fine.

I will sell these to forum members for $25.00 each shipped in the US. Excellent for 2ndBat M14 conversions, prop guns or to enhance your ICS Garand. I truthfully bought way more than I actually will probably ever use.

I have had several inquiries about these from international buyers and I simply don't know enough about each countries limitations or restrictions on firearms related items. These are demilled but not sure how that would be determined at the receiving end. If as a buyer you are willing to accept any risks, potential tariffs and pay the shipping I will send them although funding would have to be via Western Union. Shipping would no doubt be cheapest using US Post priority, flat rate, small box international as the item is heavy.

Sold several of these and am shipping them out today. For the overseas folks be patient and keep your fingers crossed on your Customs folks. I declare them as vintage gas assembly hardware. Should be just fine but as mentioned I will not take responsibility if your import folks seize them. Still have two left to sell. These could be a nice enhancement for an ICS or a critical piece for your own 2ndBat conversion. For $5.00 more I'll ship with a complete 2ndBat conversion manual to cover printing cost. (A full pictorial, technical walk through for doing the M14 to M1 conversion.)
