So I have been looking at some jackboots on ebay that are a size 10. I have about a size 10.5 foot. I somewhere heard a rumor that jackboots fit big so going down on size a little would make them fit better. Is there some truth to that or is that just a bunch malarkey? Don't want to buy something that's not gunna fit.
Thanks for the input!

Really depends on the socks you intend to wear. If you typically just go with cotton gym socks you'll get by just fine. If you realistically are going to remain in the field for prolonged periods (days and days) and walk 10 miles plus in them get the right size and have proper pairs of thick wool socks.
