Years ago I built a sort-of M1903A3 out of a BAR-10. The receiver and bolt handle were still BAR-10 so it left something lacking. In addition, my lack of ability at that time prevented me from building the M1903 that I really wanted. Enter S&T with their M1903A3, which made quite a decent starting point for the conversion. I used a reproduction rear sight collar (cut up) plus a real buttplate, lower band, upper band, rear sight, and handguard. I still need to sort out how to get the hop-up working but that shouldn't be too bad. I still need to reprofile the receiver bridge, repaint the receiver, and epoxy some things together but it looks the part for now.
