The hook on my mg42 feed tray has snapped, so my magazine won't stay on, basically making it useless. Where on earth do I get a new one?

AGM parts are hard to get as I don't believe they have a site. You can reach-out to the dealer you buy this one but will likely take ages to get a replacement. If I recall exactly, this is steel so you might consider welding this. Alternative - Here is one from MG3. Maybe you can make it work. www.mm-militaria.de/mg1-zufhrer-p-30.html

MG34 feed tray should work just fine (it does on one of my Shoes '42s). Note: the website that I'd shown appears not to ship product outside of Germany. However, a search for the part shows numerous domestic sources that exist!
Cheers.

I meant to write "MG42" NOT "MG34" on my last post (damn cell-phone).

Is this really steel you're talking about here, in regards to the '34? I understand they're as rare as rocking horse applesauce in the airsoft world!

Look for MG53 or MG3 - these are post war productions from Germany or Czechslovakia and should work on MG42 as well (at least this is advertized arround here). But for AGM version it will need to be modified to accept the feeding plastic part. And these are quite hard steel sheet. I am considering one of this for a MG34 wannabe as well, but I will use something different to feed the BB (not sure what yet)

imgur.com/gallery/JVAUtAGm drum won't fit MG3 feed tray and doesn't fit MG-42/53 without some craftiness. It won't lock in on the rear tab it's just too short over all to keep it secure.

No, I don't own a AGM MG-42. Only Shoei's.

Thanks DRK for testing these and revelating pictures. I saw pictures that were probably misslabeled as MG3 instead of MG 42/53.
