I think what he's got there is a Reich Forestry Service tunic. From what I've been able to find with Google they used acorns and oak leaves in their insignia and acorns for their rank. They were part of the German police and were organized by Herman Goering in 1935. Goering was a big hunter (in more ways than one).

I have no idea. It doesn't really work for any German impression that would fit in a game, except maybe a volkssturm member from the end of the war.

I'd probably get it to collect it rather than wearing it to go airsofting. Just one last question. Is this an original coat? The seller says it was bought in a flea market, and I don't know of anyone making repro forestry service tunics.
