Greetings everyone, i have problem with my a&k m1 garand, feeding problems to be precise. Can't find any solutions online so i am posting here in hope someone has encounter this problem and have some idea how to solve it. Replica is fully upgraded and the gearbox is working flawlessly, magazines are lubricated (i have 6 of them and and neither one doesn't seems to work including the stock one). Magazines are pretty loose inside the replica and the best guess is the magazine catch is not working properly. Any idea about this? Thank you in advance!

Hello and welcome. While I'm not an expert on the A&K Garand, I should be able to help diagnose the problem.
Have you tried pushing up the mag up into the mag well, and fire? Like, keeping the mag pushed all the way up. If it shoots after that, the mag catch or the mag catch nubs on the mags have worn down, or likely you said, the mag is just loose. Can probably mix that with adding tape or even velcro to the mag or mag well to make a tighter fit.
Have you tried to feed BBs directly into the hopup? Typically done by turning the gun upside down and letting gravity pull the BBs into the hopup. If the gun fires a BB without the mag, it might be a hopup problem.

Ok here is the list of what i have done (replica is brand new except the upgrade is put in).
Tried feedeing bbs directly and it works fine. Tried pushing the magazine without magazine plate directly on feed tube and it works fine. Magazine catch in the front won't catch magazin fully so I tried to rub off some material off of it but i am cautious beacuse if i remove too much there is no turning back.
Problem is when I assemble everything (replica and magazine with magazine plate) it simply won't feed. I assume that the magazine catch is the problem and when you assemble everything the vibrations are causing it to fall out a bit hence it doesn't feed. I am asking here simply to see if somone already had this problem because i am to scared to remove more material from magazine catch.
