This is likely not the place to market high-end airsoft but I like this board so am posting here. Now I am basically gauging interest in selling one of my Shoei MG42 gbb mg (see first two pictures). Not just any Shoei '42 but one that also has the very rare Shoei upgrade gbb engine (Tomio coined it Version 2) included for installation by the buyer. This upgrade, version2 gbb engine, was an additional $550. Only a handful were made. (original engine still in mg). The gun for sale comes with original feedplate and also the Shoei aftermarket feedplate (for hanging the drum magazines and drilled to allow installation of a spring feed tube from a auto feed drum to the MG. All that is needed will be a drum or box (example shown in pics where my custom made autofeed drum and a custom G3 box mag is shown attached). I made both drum and box mags using original WWII era drum (sand-blasted to bare metal then primed and final coating). Box mag is German surplus starting with G3 box mag and feedplate, which fit the Shoei perfectly. Both mags then built using old CA 249 motors and feed mechanisms, then fitted and fine-tuned. Work like a charm!
The Shoei airshafts have been slightly enlarged by TNK. It is no exaggeration when I say that these babies rock and, weight aside, are eminently suitable for field play although I've never come near a field except for demonstration and show. Both ALWAYS turns heads!
Firing imparts STRONG recoil and the guns put out appx. 400+fps at 140psi. Not quiet guns either;).
Total price will be $2350. Think it's expensive? It is, but its substantially less than what I paid cumulatively, and that does not include shipping from Saitama, Japan. The total cost to me was around $3100. Frankly, they are worth every penny - that's how impressive I've been with these two MGs!
If enough (sincere) interest is shown, I will post more (and much more detailed) photos and a firing demo. I just don't care to give myself a back strain getting her down and set up if I do not have to. The last three pictures are of my other Shoei MG42 (not for sale) all set up on my German AA tripod (cooling off:) after shredding a couple of beefy shipping containers yesterday. Was hoping to catch a P-41 or two on a low level flyover but the Jabos weren't cooperating apparently.....
Cheers , Gunner79
Note: having a bit of difficulty uploading my (5) photos! I'll keep trying. In the meantime, should one wish to receive pics - best to PM me until I figure this photo thing out
