In a continued effort to age all of my gear, through both cosmetic treatment and "natural" ageing, I took the liberty of stalling the purchase of expensive German footwear, and for the moment, took the route of more resistance, and have dubbed, thoroughly, my US Roughout boots. The boots started off looking like this: And then after the dubbing, they ended up looking something like this (pictures don't do it justice, in life they are completly darkened, not splochy, as they come out in photos): Russian

Those look good. The only thing would be ladder laceing them. I don't see the soles so I don't care.

They really look great....oh by the way why the hell did you pour shoe polish all over your US gear........it dont lok aged it looks liek shoe polish was poured all over your gear...lol

I didn't age any of my US stuff, that's just wear....oh, except that one jacket, that one I did pour it on, cause I thought Innocenti was gunna wear it, and I had quiet a few Italian jokes lined up...

Those look good. The only thing would be ladder laceing them. I don't see the soles so I don't care. Not all Germans ladder laced their boots. Got that little tid bit from a WWII German vet at Rockford last year.

I was under the impression the most low boots were ladder laced. The FJ did both for their boots and well you don't have to lace Jacks up!
