So I've perused this website (HERE)a bit recently. The father of the famous jungle boot and other army kit wrote a book about his experiences developing jungle kit for the military in WW2 and Vietnam. They guy sounds fascinating, and one of the chapter excerpts (HERE) details him leading his jungle test platoon in panama, prior to pearl harbor, to apprehend suspected (strongly) german spies reporting on shipping activities. I'm always on the lookout for real "dressing" for airsoft games. In this case, instead of capture the flag its a high powered radio set. Personally I would run a game "inspired by true events" rather than huing exactly to his description. something like this: South America, 1941 Allies: Intelligence has reported Axis spy and possible military operation in vicinity of (some location). Your unit will conduct a fighting patrol of the area. Engage any enemy, capture or destroy their equipment and disrupt thier operations. Axis Local villagers reportedly have seen allied patrols in the area. Your small reconnaissance force may be compromised. Pack your base and transport the sensitive equipment to the (direction/loaction) (another option would be to hold a position perhaps) Anyway, something like that. Just wanted to share a cool obscure bit of WW2 info, and an evocative setting for an airsoft game, which would work with the small numbers typical.

I used to own hounds before Washington state outlawed hound hunting.
One time I incorporated one of my hound collars and yagi antenna into one of my airsoft games. It was a Red Dawn event. I gave the Soviets a short briefing on how to work the antenna and interpret the meter and sounds to gauge if they were getting closer or further away from the collar that one of the rebel traitors had in their possession. It was a great game of cat and mouse.
So this could work for your idea as well. The Germans could be tracked in real time radio telemetry every time they set up to “broadcast” a radio signal to a U boat or plane. Mock up a convincing radio set and place a tracking collar inside that could be turned on and off. And arm the Allies with a Yagi antenna.

That's a good idea, I have had some kind of antenna homing game kicking around the back of my mind for some time. Thanks for the resource, I'll have to keep an eye our for something used.
