At the suggestion of a sharp eyed member I bought 4 M1 Garand stocks from Sarco.. 4 for 36.00.! They were beautiful Walnut stocks in great shape with cartouches and everything. Why so cheap? Someone (not them) had cut and inch and a half off the end. They were selling them for use in custom furniture or novelty projects. I will dremel them out and turn my non wooden Garand conversions into real wood stocks and make a few more solid dummy Garands using the M14 takes off receivers and charging handles I had lying around. Last week one of those dummy Garand Drill rifles sold for $179.00! They apparently have hundreds more. If I had a man cave using M1 Garand stock for bar stool legs would be kinda cool!

What a pity on these stocks as they are gorgeous other than the cut off tip. Dremeling them out to accomodate the airsoft internals is a ton of work but having done several already the process is much easier. Real wood stocks truly make for huge improvements on my conversions. The slightly shorter length actually makes for an easier conversion and is visually imperceptible unless side by side with a real steel Garand.
