At the battle of Bulge game in Washington state several of my US troops were equipped with US gas weapons. (A couple carbines and a grease gun) I chose not to even attempt to use my Marushin Garand.
The temperature was hovering around freezing all morning and warmed up to the high 30's and low 40s by afternoon. Way too cold for gas guns to perform well. I wondered how my troopers managed to function at all with their gas guns.
I discoverd that a couple of them had chemical hand warmers that they left in their magazine pouches to keep spare magazines warm and wrapped the magazine on their guns in hand warmers or held them tightly in their mittened wool hands.
It certainly wasn't optimal but it sure seemed to help. I really like the sound gas guns make and of course with blowbacks the action is just plain cool. The idea seems worth considering for those of you who play in the winter.

Funny, I mentioned the exact same idea today to a teamate that also showed up with a grease gun- "Hey, you know if we had those dang ski hand-warmers for our gloves we could get more than a half a mag of air out of these babies" Winter ain't over by a long shot here in Colorado! -G

winter starts day after tomorrow, LOL
Well the colder it is, the more powerful gas you can get away with.
as I said, the can of black gas I have, actually has a picture of a snowflake on it! meaning use in winter! -Gordak

Nice- I have been wondering how that would perform for you! And it's been below 0 for 2 weeks here, so........I'm not waiting for the 'official' start of Winter- .....where's that dang "Global Warming" they keep promising us? -G
